The start-up landscape is providing innovative products and services catering to an exceedingly globalized and well informed international market, aided by the digital evolution. The distances between consumers and start-up businesses are reducing, allowing for the businesses to increase international trade. While large corporations may push their way through hurdles to expand overseas, start-ups are dependent on the "ease of doing business" and freedom of cross border movement of goods and services.
The present policy and regulatory barriers need to be addressed at an international level to ensure a symbiotic development for these start-up industries, that use e-commerce to gain market access. The workshop aims to discuss policy and regulatory barriers that are throttling innovation and curtailing the reach of the start-up businesses and offer international solutions to ensure inclusive growth for trade.
