WTO Secretariat Strategy 2030
The goals of the Marrakesh Agreement are more relevant than ever in today's complex, uncertain, and interconnected world. Rapid changes and the evolving trade ecosystem require flexibility and a fresh look into how the Secretariat can build on the legacy of the GATT and the work of the WTO since 1995 and become even stronger.
Launched in September 2024, a first-ever Secretariat strategy provides clear direction and defines key strategic goals to make the Secretariat's work more impactful, more efficient, and more responsive to the needs of WTO members and contemporary global realities. This strategy will serve as an essential tool guiding progress toward the Secretariat's vision of building a better world for people through global cooperation and rules-based international trade.
