Cette compilation de 45 閠udes de cas contient des informations sur l'exp閞ience disparate acquise par les pays face aux d閒is de la participation ?l'OMC. Elle montre que le succ鑣 ou l'閏hec de la participation d閜end dans une tr鑣 large mesure de la mani鑢e dont les pouvoirs publics et les parties prenantes du secteur priv?s'organisent au niveau national. Les auteurs de ces 閠udes de cas, dont beaucoup sont originaires de pays en d関eloppement, donnent des exemples de participation et en tirent des enseignements pour les autres. Ils montrent que lorsque le syst鑝e peut 阾re utilis?et mis ?profit de mani鑢e effective, il peut servir les int閞阾s tant des pays pauvres que des pays riches. Toutefois, l'absence de communication entre les parties int閞ess閑s au niveau national a souvent des effets n間atifs au niveau international. Avant tout, ces 閠udes de cas d閙ontrent que l'OMC constitue un cadre dans lequel la prise de d閏isions souveraine peut offrir des possibilit閟 importantes ou compromettre les avantages susceptibles de d閏ouler d'un environnement international fond?sur des r鑗les qui favorise un commerce ouvert.
