The 24th Geneva Week for WTO Non-Resident Members and Observers will be held at the WTO from 9 to 13 July 2012. Geneva Week participants will be able to attend a symposium on Trade Facilitation, a workshop on Aid for Trade and Services and and a roundtable discussion on regional trade agreements. They will also benefit from specialized briefings on trade in tourism and telecom services, on how non-tariff measures affect international trade, on the status of negotiations of the Dispute Settlement Understanding, and on issues surrounding notifications in the area of sanitary and phytosanitary measures and technical barriers to trade. Other topics for discussion during the week of meetings include food security and international trade, the increase in the use of global value chains and current issues related to intellectual property rights and government procurement.
