35th Geneva Week
27 November to 1 December 2017
The 35th Geneva Week for WTO Non-Resident Members and Observers will be held at the WTO from 27 November to 1 December 2017. Participants will benefit from detailed briefings on key aspects of WTO activities such as recent developments in the area of agriculture and services, as well as trade facilitation, electronic commerce and fisheries subsides. Other areas to be covered include research on trade, technology and jobs; the environmental dimension of the SDGs; TBT and SPS developing country issues; TRIPs and Development; and main messages emerging from the Aid for Trade Global Review 2017
Participants will have an opportunity to interact with the Director‑General and the Chairman of the General Council. Other briefings during the week will address preparations for the WTO's 11th Ministerial Conference, and interpretation of the Enabling Clause. This Geneva Week is also being organized to coincide with the last General Council meeting before the Ministerial Conference to provide an opportunity for representatives from the non-resident Members and Observers to attend this important meeting.
