DEVELOPMENT: GENEVA WEEK
38th Geneva Week
The 38th Geneva Week for WTO Non-Resident Members and Observers will be held at the WTO from 6 to 10 May 2019. Participants will benefit from detailed briefings on key aspects of WTO activities such as, recent developments in areas of fisheries subsides and agriculture; as well as technical assistance; trade facilitation; and special and differential treatment. Other areas to be covered include, a briefing by the Commonwealth Small States Office; e-commerce; trade and gender; Aid-for-Trade Global Review 2019; the joint publication on Trade and Poverty Reduction; 2018 Annual Report; and a panel discussion on WTO reform. Participants will also attend meetings of the General Council; Trade Policy Review Body; and the Symposium on Trade and Natural Disasters.
In addition, participants will have an opportunity to interact with the Director‑General and the Chairperson of the General Council. They will also receive briefings from the coordinators of the ACP and SVE Groups.
