Online chat: Lamy sees “positive signs” in trade talks

Director-General Pascal Lamy, in an online chat on 18 December 2006, said that “I am doing my best to push things as hard as possible and I am seeing some positive signs”. However, he is “still waiting for some of the more important members to convert their expressions of increased flexibility into numbers”.  Lamy fielded more than 100 questions in English, French and Spanish from around the world.
